Update in feedback flow on Tab effective 10 May, 2017

Genuine and unbiased feedback is the essence of healthcare. It helps patients in making better healthcare decisions, and the medical practitioners are able to set accurate expectations for their establishment.

Therefore, as a healthcare platform, it’s imperative that Practo has only the highest quality and reliable feedback. To ensure this, input was collected from thousands of doctors and combined with your valuable suggestions to make feedback more helpful for all the patients. As the next step, we’re improving our system of updating our feedback system and related policies on the Practo platform and Ray Tab.

Here are the highlights from the improvements on the feedback system:

  • Update in feedback collection flow on Tab
    No bias” is the prerequisite for reliable feedback. Previously, the feedback could be published as soon as the patient submitted it on the Tab, at the clinic’s premises. To reduce the possibility of influenced opinions, the new system allows patients a buffer of 3 days to confirm or revisit their submitted feedback. This ensures that the feedback is of high quality, unbiased, well-thought and extremely reliable.

    New flow will be effective from 10 May 2017, for all Ray Tab customers.

  • Stringent verification and removal of false feedback
      1. One patient can leave only one feedback per doctor, or update the same in future.
      2. Every feedback on Practo gets published only after verifying its source. Smart algorithms detect and delete feedback posted from fake identities to avoid intentional malign or manipulated praises.
      3. Doctor-to-doctor feedback is strongly discouraged to prevent competitive bias.
  • Blurring opinion based on medical ability of the doctor
    Words that question a doctor’s medical expertise are blurred and statements that indicate personal attack are removed. e.g. “ineffective treatment”  would be blurred, while “money-minded doctor” will be removed. This is done to ensure that only meaningful and helpful feedback is made public to the patients.

Practo strives to make feedback as reliable and meaningful as possible. We hope that the new enhancements to the feedback flow and policy will act as a positive steps towards a reliable and simpler healthcare for everyone.

Scheduled maintenance on 12 Mar for Ray by Practo

Dear Doctors,

This is to inform you of the scheduled maintenance work for Ray on 12 March 2017, from 3:30 AM to 6:30 AM.

During this period, you can expect a short service interruption.

We perform regular maintenance to ensure that the service continues uninterrupted for our customers. In most cases, maintenance can be performed without service interruption. However, in the rare event when maintenance cannot be performed without interruption, we work hard to keep any impact as brief as possible.

Introducing Block Calendar and Reminder features on Ray!

“Block Calendar” feature

We understand that as doctors you are extremely busy and have to juggle between your practice, conferences, CMEs, and personal life. As a result, there might be times when you are not able to meet patients for their appointments or miss important events. You can now ensure that patients have a seamless experience at your clinic by preventing appointments being booked for the time slots when you are not available.    

We are introducing the ‘Block Calendar’ feature which will help you prevent patients from making appointments during the days when you are on a holiday or away at a conference and draw a clear distinction between reminders and blocked events.

Blocking the Calendar does three key things:

  1. The blocked slot will be unavailable for booking appointments on Practo.com
  2. Any appointments that were already scheduled for the same slot will be cancelled automatically
  3. An SMS will be sent to the doctor/ administrator about the details of the blocked slot along with the name of the person who created the event

How to use it?

It is extremely simple to use. You can either click on the ‘Block Calendar’ button on the left side of your screen, or click on an appointment slot on the Calendar. Then enter the details of the time and date of your unavailability, and save the changes. That’s it!

Using the ‘Block Calendar’ button ensures that you are able to provide the best possible experience for your patients and your practice thrives with better relationships!

Doctors who are using version 6.9 of Ray have an additional feature.

“Reminder” feature

In addition to the Block Calendar feature, we are introducing the Reminder feature that allows you to set up reminders. These could be for All Day tasks or for Custom times.

All Day reminders, such as a birthday reminder,  will appear at the top of your day’s activities on your Calendar, and Custom reminders, such as reminder to make a call, will pop up at the specified time and appear next to that time slot on your Calendar.

How to use it?

Click on the ‘Reminder’ tab from the pop-up window that appears when you click on a time slot. Enter the details of the reminder and save the changes.

Using the ‘Reminder’ feature ensures that you are able to manage your daily schedule better and ensure you don’t miss the little details.

How to determine which version of Ray you are using

In both version 6 & 6.9 of Ray, there is a question mark symbol at the top right corner of your screen. Click on this and in the window that opens up check your ‘Plan Detail’. It will be stated here whether it is v6 or v6.9.

 

 

Coming Soon: Practo Ray with Improved Navigation

Practo’s primary goal is to make it easier for doctors to manage their practices. On that note, Practo Ray will soon come to you with a sleek-looking interface, that’s much easier to use.
Here’s what it will look like:

You’ll find the Navigation Bar on the left,  on any screen of Practo Ray. It slides out when you hover your mouse cursor over it, like so:

Payment Confirmation SMS for your patients

Timely communication is an important way to improve patient trust, especially when it comes to payments. So we’ve introducing another SMS category today – The Payment Confirmation SMS.

Every time a payment is accepted in Ray, the patient will receive a Payment confirmation SMS. Here’s what it looks like.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve your experience. So we have been working really hard to give the iOS app for Practo Ray an overhaul, completely rethinking what it means to make our apps a pleasure for our users.

We’ve also improved app security by making your login experience more secure with Two-factor Authentication. Also, users whose passwords have been changed on Ray web, and users deleted from a practice will be automatically logged out of the app. All this ensures that you have complete control over access to your practice information.
