Introducing Block Calendar and Reminder features on Ray!

“Block Calendar” feature

We understand that as doctors you are extremely busy and have to juggle between your practice, conferences, CMEs, and personal life. As a result, there might be times when you are not able to meet patients for their appointments or miss important events. You can now ensure that patients have a seamless experience at your clinic by preventing appointments being booked for the time slots when you are not available.    

We are introducing the ‘Block Calendar’ feature which will help you prevent patients from making appointments during the days when you are on a holiday or away at a conference and draw a clear distinction between reminders and blocked events.

Blocking the Calendar does three key things:

  1. The blocked slot will be unavailable for booking appointments on Practo.com
  2. Any appointments that were already scheduled for the same slot will be cancelled automatically
  3. An SMS will be sent to the doctor/ administrator about the details of the blocked slot along with the name of the person who created the event

How to use it?

It is extremely simple to use. You can either click on the ‘Block Calendar’ button on the left side of your screen, or click on an appointment slot on the Calendar. Then enter the details of the time and date of your unavailability, and save the changes. That’s it!

Using the ‘Block Calendar’ button ensures that you are able to provide the best possible experience for your patients and your practice thrives with better relationships!

Doctors who are using version 6.9 of Ray have an additional feature.

“Reminder” feature

In addition to the Block Calendar feature, we are introducing the Reminder feature that allows you to set up reminders. These could be for All Day tasks or for Custom times.

All Day reminders, such as a birthday reminder,  will appear at the top of your day’s activities on your Calendar, and Custom reminders, such as reminder to make a call, will pop up at the specified time and appear next to that time slot on your Calendar.

How to use it?

Click on the ‘Reminder’ tab from the pop-up window that appears when you click on a time slot. Enter the details of the reminder and save the changes.

How will it benefit your practice?

Using the ‘Reminder’ feature ensures that you are able to manage your daily schedule better and ensure you don’t miss the little details.

Please note that these features are currently being released in phases and will be made available to all Ray users soon.

How to determine which version of Ray you are using

In both version 6 & 6.9 of Ray, there is a question mark symbol at the top right corner of your screen. Click on this and in the window that opens up check your ‘Plan Detail’. It will be stated here whether it is v6 or v6.9.

 

 

Coming Soon: Practo Ray with Improved Navigation

Practo’s primary goal is to make it easier for doctors to manage their practices. On that note, Practo Ray will soon come to you with a sleek-looking interface, that’s much easier to use.
Here’s what it will look like:

You’ll find the Navigation Bar on the left,  on any screen of Practo Ray. It slides out when you hover your mouse cursor over it, like so:

…and slides back when you move your cursor away from it.

We’ve also made it a lot easier for you to access other Practo Products that help you build your practice, such as:

Payment Confirmation SMS for your patients

Timely communication is an important way to improve patient trust, especially when it comes to payments. So we’ve introducing another SMS category today – The Payment Confirmation SMS.

Every time a payment is accepted in Ray, the patient will receive a Payment confirmation SMS. Here’s what it looks like.

Improved security and easier to use. All new Ray for iOS.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve your experience. So we have been working really hard to give the iOS app for Practo Ray an overhaul, completely rethinking what it means to make our apps a pleasure for our users.

Security

We’ve also improved app security by making your login experience more secure with Two-factor Authentication. Also, users whose passwords have been changed on Ray web, and users deleted from a practice will be automatically logged out of the app. All this ensures that you have complete control over access to your practice information.

Prescription print-outs with Vital Signs and Clinical Notes

We understand the importance of prescriptions when the patient visits you the next time. It serves as a point-of-reference to know what transpired in the previous consultation.

To make prescriptions more comprehensive, we’re including Vital Signs and your Clinical Notes in your prescription print outs.

Tracking lab orders is now easier and simpler

We’ve given the Dental Lab Tracking module a cosmetic make-over, to make it easier for you to find the features that you want.

Sorting lab orders is now really simple, with the new dropdown menus. You and your staff can also easily check or modify the status of each order in just two clicks.

Changes to Edit With Trail in Clinical Notes

Note: Applicable for customers in Singapore only. 

Clinical notes are essential to track patient records, and there are several revisions to be made when tracking a patient through the various stages of treatment. Understanding the need for auditing the edit trail in Clinical Notes, Practo brings you a solution to help you edit and review revisions to patient records effortlessly.

Since many edits occur within a 24-hour period of note creation, this new feature automatically updates notes and leaves an edit trail only after the 24-hour period.

With the new edit trail option you can:

  • Make edits with 24 hours without leaving an edit trail
  • Retain the doctor name and date to the clinical note
  • View dates of note creation and note revision separately

Introducing a New User Role – Biller

Managing a clinic involves several people, from the owner, doctors, nursing staff to the receptionist and other administrative staff. While all of them play different roles in running the clinic not all require complete access to information. For example, it is important that non-medical staff have limited access to patients’ medical records to preserve patient privacy and prevent information overload.

Keeping this in mind, Practo Ray has introduced a new user role specifically targeting the Billing Desk.

Biller user role, for your billing desk

Biller’ role gives access to:

  • All billing related information
  • Viewing & editing patient profiles
  • Inventory
  • Daily summary report and inventory report

Thus, this user has access to all billing-related information and only one day’s financial data. This helps minimise

  • Access to information not essential for the role
  • Distraction during work hours
